I used an Audio Quest carbon cable to connect my computer to a headphone amp. I compared several different cables and the Audio Quest carbon cable was the clear winner for sound quality. The other cables looked like they were looking out of a dirty window. Carbon cable was like looking out of a window with no glass. These can be ones and zeros, but there are also rise and fall times for each transition and for many different frequencies in the audio spectrum.

If you think all digital cables sound the same, stop reading now. For me, the carbon absolutely improved the soundstage and overall "character" of the instruments compared to a regular USB cable. It's the focal point of the AudioQuest range, delivering maximum quality without hitting a painful price point. Highly recommended.
