The housings are well designed and fairly solid. I installed them in my car and the light output is much better and brighter than standard halogen bulbs. Installation is easy and the connectors fit snugly. The fans also work well and cool the device when needed. We'll have to wait and see how long they last. Installed in 2006 Dodge Caravan. I had to modify the car headlight retaining rings to accommodate the back of the bulb. Once the bulbs are fixed, they are secure. I was missing a screw on the wire retainer (connects the bulb wire to the wire harness) to keep it from coming loose. I just used duct tape and it works fine. On the plus side, they are very bright! The fans are barely audible unless you're listening to the headlights.

The wires on these didn't match my 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt. I had to swap the white and black wires on the main wiring harness and now the headlights work as they should. I installed these on a 2002 Subaru Impreza. This is the famous Beetle model that looks bad if you try to put HID bulbs or anything other than the stock 9007 bulbs in it.
