Works Great. My digital tachometer has failed on my tractor. The replacement required holes in the new instrument cluster. Ford only wanted 980.00! Luckily they don't do that anymore. Walked this way.

I hooked it up to a Delco generator and it worked intermittently. I tried adjusting the sensor and checked the wiring and the ground just couldn't get it to work. I'm a mechanic.

I bought this for my Landcruiser HZJ78. These trucks are very basic and don't have electricity, so I needed something autonomous. It fit the bill and was easy to install. Calibration was easy too. I've been riding African roads for over a year and I'm still in great shape. The autometer makes high quality sensors :)

I got this for my 86 Isuzu Pup diesel engine. I'm looking for a touch and an autometer to help. Installation on site. Tie the sensor to the generator, run some wires and time to calibrate. Calibration was so easy. Came with different lighting options. The green goes well with the rest of the green lights in my truck. it is accurate and looks good. a real asset to my show truck.

This is a simplified version of the diesel tachometer. If your car is as old as mine and you don't want to find tons of bad wires for your stock sensor, this is a good option. The best part is that it just attaches to the alternator and a few wires to the pressure gauge, that's it for the transmitter. The yoke they give you should be able to tie down the half generator so be prepared to trim it down to size, that's the only caveat. The liquid filled sensor is definitely worth the extra money…
