I really wanted it to work. I did feel a difference in hydration after one use, but unfortunately it irritated my eyes. My eyes watered hours after using it. I was careful around the eye area. Tried a second time the next day, same thing happened, eyes and nose ran for hours. I've had this issue occasionally with certain face products and makeup. This has been my favorite daily facial moisturizer for 3 years. I've tried other brands - Cerave, Purlisse, Burt's Bees, and the "anti-aging" version of Aveeno - they were either too oily/oily or smelled awful or caused breakouts. This moisturizer is the only SPF 30 I could find at a reasonable price that my skin tolerates. I hope they never change it! In the photo, I'm post-moisturizer, no makeup. I like to think that daily sunscreen slows the aging process (I'm in my 30s).

I definitely notice a slight tone correction (I have light freckled skin), absorbs quickly and is not greasy. Doesn't cause outbreaks. Good product, good price. This is the reason for 5 stars. HOWEVER, this product uses animal testing, so I've since found another moisturizer to use. But if you don't care about others suffering from an even skin tone, you'll love it as a moisturizer.

The item I received was definitely not aveno. I have been buying this face lotion from the store for years and have never had any problems. I decided to try and order from Amazon and this lotion is not the same. It has a VERY strong and unpleasant odor and immediately smashed my face and actually burned me upon application. Too bad I didn't miss the return date. Lesson learned not to order from Amazon.

A very good facial moisturizer with the added benefit of SPF 30. It's light but not watery (I hate that with moisturizers) and stays put. I use it under makeup and have never had any problems. However, your mileage may vary. I know there is another Aveeno facial moisturizer that my skin definitely doesn't like (Glowing Skin Daily Moisturizer SPF 15). The product does what it should. It absorbs well, does not leave the skin greasy, leaves it soft. Unfortunately I seem to be allergic to something in it. A few hours after applying it, my face turned horribly red and I really, really, really wanted to scratch my face. Although I'm an optimist (I've never had sensitive skin), I waited a week and tried again. Yes, the same thing happened, so I'm done. Sigh.
