It's a bit tricky to get the hang of it. My 6 year old struggled to throw it in the right direction to get the nerf bullet out (you need to hold and bandage your wrist properly), my 4 year old had to hold it with both hands and he couldn't get it to work . Nice gift for older children

Our grandchildren had a very good time with this hammer. The fact that he can even fire a Nerf bullet made him that much better. It's at their house by now where it's probably lost and/or broken, that's ok. They loved it when they opened this present at our home. It gave them a lot of joy, even though they are 12 and 15 years old. I thought they were too old for this toy but their mother persuaded me to buy it anyway. I'm glad I did.

Bought as a 3rd birthday present for our sons (Wunderstil). He also loves all things NERF related so it was a win-win. But for a 3 year old kid it's hard. There are 2 balls. Place on the bottom of the handle for storage (see image). To fire a NERF bullet: Load the bullet into the top of Mjolnir, pull back on the bottom part of the handle (to cock it), hit something with the hammer and it will fire. Pretty cute toy. The edges of the hammer are also made of soft foam!

Young children may find it difficult to get the shooter to work. I don't know why they didn't just have a trigger to fire a nerf dart. You need to load the arrow, pull the base by the handle to prime it. Then you need to hold the trigger, then swing the trigger, then release the trigger near the end of the stroke and RELEASE the trigger while still holding the trigger. Gave this to my little cousin for Christmas and I definitely won Christmas! His parents weren't entirely happy that he liked my gift more than theirs. He's a huge Thor fan and he's been shooting with this thing all night. He had some trouble swinging it hard enough to fire the arrow, but he managed it every time he hit the ground with it.
