🛍️ 200 Pint Vacuum Sealer Bags by Avid Armor - BPA Free, Heavy Duty, Sous Vide Safe Review

This is my first time ordering this brand as my regular brand seems to be out of stock. I had to reseal several packages several times, some packages had to be disposed of that simply could not be closed. Some are well sealed. None of them were overloaded and all bags contained the same item. It's frustrating to try a new product and find that it doesn't always match the features it was purchased for. If you don't mind the lack of consistency, I think the ones that work will be fine.

These bags are perfect. I've used them over and over again. I simply cut off the top to open the bag, wash and dry. And they are ready for the next vacuum packed product. Of course, they get shorter and shorter with each use. I write with a marker on the top of the bag, just above the seal. I meet them and throw them in the freezer. When opening I cut off part of the package with the date and a description of the package contents. They are then read out for the next use!

These bags do not seal well due to perforations. This means they have poor design of the ducts through which air flows. As a result, the vacuum no longer sucks air out of the bag and prevents a vacuum from forming around the food. If you want a seal of quality go for the best perforations, there are other brands on Revain in a similar price range that work very well. They are very difficult to seal and work less than 30% of the time, even with Avid Armor vacuum sealers, which have high suction…

I love this site for small items. For example, it's great when you open a pack of hot dogs, cook what you want, and pack the rest in pairs. Open the cold cuts, use the essentials, pack the rest. If I have semi-hard cheese, I put two slices in a bag as soon as I open it. Great for nuts too! It will be great when hurricane season hits, packaged foods can be stored in portions in the fridge! Pleasantly surprised by this purchase. I've bought other brands that didn't close properly or were too expensive. These bags sealed very well with my food splatter guard and I haven't had any problems so far. There are only 2 problems I found. 1. When trying to seal seafood like shrimp, the tails will stick out if you don't use the right setting, e.g. B. tender. The first approx. 40 bags worked perfectly, then suddenly one bag after the other was no longer vacuumed. I immediately switched to NESCO roll stock and it worked great. Tried a few more Avid bags, no vacuum cleaner. In the end, after about 10 Avid bags were wasted because the vacuum couldn't be pulled out, the Avid bags magically started working again.
