strong headphones. Sounds good

They are exactly what they say they are. No frills, no frills, rugged headphones. The sound is pretty good, although they don't have the noise cancellation I was hoping for (but that was the hope, not the expectation as they aren't advertised as such). The individual ear volume control is an absolute plus! On the other hand, they are ugly. Not recommended as a gift for visually conscious teenagers. ;)

Pros
  • Keep my fists
Cons
  • Useless features

Good price and works well!

I wasn't expecting much when I bought them but for the price they're not bad. I am a radio amateur and needed new headphones for HF operation and I think they fit perfectly. I tried them tonight after receiving them and they work very well at high volume. I don't really need high fidelity, I just need to hear. I like the separate volume controls on each side of the earcups.

Pros
  • I'm crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Long time

that's good but there is no twisted cable

good for ham and looks well built. The cord is braided, which is nice, but it's not coiled. It's okay, but I'd like it in the description or in the picture. I don't have hearing problems so I wish it only had a volume control or the ability to use it as the main control. Setting both to the same levels every time you want to change the volume was a nuisance that I have to fix with an external potentiometer.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • some little things

The perfect sleep headphones.

I needed a pair of sturdy headphones to listen to podcasts before falling asleep. I looked through 3 pairs that broke before I found this one. You are perfect. I didn't think I needed a volume control at the time, but it totally helps to get the perfect volume level when you're away from your computer. The nylon cord means it won't be too hot or cold or sticky when it touches you. Sound quality is probably below average, but who cares when spoken language is involved?

Reasonable price.

#1 : If you think you can get quality concert hall sound for a lousy ten bucks, forget it! No, but they offer pretty decent sound. I mainly use them to listen to conversations, not music, on my Kindle 10 Fire tablet, and with the exception of one of the volume controls, which only works at full volume (so I turn down the tablet's volume to adjust it). again perfectly adequate. It's weird, it's very hard to find headphones with individual volume control at a higher price, so this is really aโ€ฆ

Poor quality, cheap construction, uncomfortable to wear

I bought these as inexpensive IFB ("Comtek") headphones for use on independent film sets. The quality and construction of these cheap Califone 3068AV knockoffs is such that I wouldn't want my director, script supervisor or producer to know I bought them let alone give them a pair to use. Oddly, the original Califone 3068AV headphones are cheaper and can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MUXVYK/ I am returning Avids and will be buying four more pairs. real Californians.

Surprisingly decent quality, full size actually.

Old fashioned library style in-ear headphones are finally here. The stupid school system destroys the education of one hypochondriac after another. The kids went through half a dozen headphones that were more expensive and less durable than this one. These others have a mundane design, with all that high-quality stuff based on a dumb piece of plastic that will inevitably break. We like these headphones, more durable, there's real metal inside. Although they could do better replacing all theโ€ฆ

Very good set of simple headphones.

These headphones have a 3-pin 1/8" ground connection (left speaker, right speaker and center common). Most headphones currently on the market have a 4-pin jack (right speaker, left speaker, microphone input and common ground). I run my video boxes and DVD players through the receiver. Most audio receivers have a 3-pin headphone jack. Plugging 4-pin headphones into this 3-pin jack does not work. Beyond use most receivers have a 1/4" headphone jack. I've tried using these 1/8 to 1/4 adapters andโ€ฆ

Badass - Headphones

Our autistic adult son loves to watch videos with headphones. The problem is that he is very rude to them. No matter what we tried, his headphones lasted at best a month before he destroyed them. We bought them 9 months ago and they are still in excellent condition. Anyone looking for high-quality, audiophile sound is looking for the wrong headphones. That's not what they're made for. These are the ones that schools use to discourage kids from screwing them up. This is their main advantageโ€ฆ
