Not suitable for 81 " HD models

Unfortunately, the statement "Suitable for 81" HD models" in the description is incorrect. They don't fit all models like my 2012 Sportster.

Great grips! in the spare part

I really like the look of these pens! Easy to install and they have an extension that fits under the shifter housing on the clutch side - not all grips have them! Reliable, safe, convenient and bad!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • I have some doubts

Good product. Instructions are annoying

found a video on the net to learn how to install it. The instructions that came with it were terrible. it was easy to install. Pay attention to the alignment of the clutch side, but if done right, perfect. i love pens MUCH better than standard Harley grips.

Pros
  • quality assembly
Cons
  • packaging is ugly

All day comfort. for grips

I wanted larger diameter grips as OEM. These handles are a bit bigger, nothing special. You won't have any trouble installing it. You don't even need glue! I had cramps in my arms then installed them and have ridden over 200 miles with no complaints. No fancy spikes or skulls, just all-day comfort!

Avon grips, Avon Throttle Boss and DNA Monster handlebars

These grips are top notch, not too thick and not too thin, although I have good hands. I also bought these Motek DNA Monster Bars from Revain and they are great too. The flange at the end of the throttle grip is a throttle tab that I also ordered from Revain and added to the grips. Very happy with the release

Left vs. Right - Don't Be Like Me

I have never changed a set of grips and put them on the wrong side first. I put the throttle on the clutch handle. This is clearly not correct. don't be like me Lost a few minutes and felt like a complete idiot. The handle with internal serrations goes to the right, the tight-fitting handle to the left. Great pens, I am very happy with them. They make hot-weather city driving with sweaty hands less tiring.

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Achievement
Cons
  • There are other interesting variations.

Great upgrade, you just have to try.

Avon is a huge step up from standard plastic waste. Passenger grip was a challenge when fitted to the new Road Glide with the RDRS option. The handle has an eccentric end that does not fit into the switch body. I had to take a dremel with a sanding attachment and round off the eccentric end to clean the body and set it to the right depth. Essentially, this makes the end round, like a stock grip. Once this is done and tested, a few drops of heavy duty superglue are all it takes to install theโ€ฆ

2020 Road Glide Retro Fit Installation Instructions

Ok first of all these are my third pair of Avons, love them. Just unbelievable. That being said, they are NOT SUITABLE for the 2020 Road Glider (Special) unless you knock out your dremel (the sander is too big), you need to sand down the wall molding on your handlebars (they prevent the build from moving). You don't need them) ) And a tongue in your lever clip (little black nipple that looks like a piece of metal, same concept, you don't need them). After that, the left one is turned onโ€ฆ

  • Easy Installation
