25 or more leaves for fish and aquatic animals

Use the leaves in my aquarium for my shrimp to improve health. They don't seem to turn the water brown like others I've tried. Not sure if that's good or bad, but I think the tannins in the leaves turn the water around. So far, so good.

Pros
  • Promotes Health, Vitality Color and Reproduction
Cons
  • No

The fish seem to like it

Place two leaves with a small handful of alder cones and get a decent amount. Cook? Maybe. The last two hours the aquariums have been dripped slowly so as not to shock the fish. They all calmed down noticeably, I even caught one of the shrimp freely swimming in the filter stream, I don't know why.

Pros
  • Indian Almond Leaves / Catappa, 25/pack
Cons
  • Expensive

Works wonders for aquatic life

Leaves have antifungal and antibacterial properties for all my aquatic life. The leaves contain tannins and color the water a beautiful shade of brown. If you don't like brown, add some charcoal to the filter. As the leaves decompose, the fish eats the remaining pieces. I make my own fish food and add crushed leaves.

Pros
  • Organic Natural
Cons
  • Vanish

Do not buy! on Fish & Aquatic Pets

I bought these sheets to build an Amazon blackwater aquarium for my discus. When I opened the package I noticed that the planks were very dry and crumbly. From there it only got worse. When trying to wash them under a weak jet of water, they broke. So I decided to just make my own blackwater extract. this also didn't work after boiling various amounts of leaves for several hours, the best I could get out of these leaves was something like weak tea. A very light brown color, definitely not close

Pros
  • Adds blackwater tannin
Cons
  • So far so good
