I bought this toy along with the pacifier holder they sell and I love them both. This is a simple, affordable, and cute teething toy that any child will love. Definitely recommend!

My child likes the toy. However, the wooden part was nice and smooth on arrival, but once it gets wet (cleaning as directed) it becomes rough and uncomfortable. I do not feel safe giving this to a child unsupervised as I am concerned about tiny chips/scratches in my mouth and on my tongue.

This elephant teether is so cool! It's super cute! It is very easy for kids to grab with the ring. It has multiple relief areas for the convenience of teething. It is made of food grade silicone and beech wood. Apparently it can be cooked, but I hesitate as part of it is made of wood. I think just wash it in warm soapy water. It is very safe as it does not contain BPA. This is a great little toy for toddlers!

Turns out silicone releases some toxins. Wood seems safe when it's soft, not brittle, doesn't splinter, or doesn't contain toxins, but silicone can release toxins and wood can splinter. I'm not sure what the best solution for teething is, but silicone doesn't seem to fit. On the one hand, it works. On the other hand, we are afraid of chemicals and splinters, which is why we chose a different material. We use solid wood in our family. Good luck with your search.

This teether is of very good quality and definitely at a great price! The silicone is thick and hard, so you don't have to worry about parts breaking or coming loose over time. There are great textures for sore gums and the ring is perfect for small, growing hands. The instructions state that it can be boiled for cleaning, but I suspect that this will wear out the wood (beech) faster. I found it easy to wash with soap and water and will stick with it.
