Better than my 1st best for camping and backpacking

I like this 1 better than the 1 I ordered. There is no igniter on this 1, but the burner plate is much wider and seems to heat up fairly evenly. The first had a small but powerful jet, like a burner. for water, but not suitable for food. this 1 is much better. I don't like twisting it every time it's used. It doesn't look very comfortable. It goes through the bottom plate and is screwed onto the top plate. If not careful I can see that it has cross threads. It gives off a lot of heat, maybeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 2 Wider base, large cooking surface - This small camp stove is great for a quick morning coffee. Use this camping stove to easily prepare meals on the go or to boil water in a small skillet. This is what you will ever need for Camping/Climbing/Hiking/Ski Trip/Emergency/Cycling.
Cons
  • So far so good

Nice Big Wide Flame

I bought two of these to wrap under the pan. I have a 10" tall camp grill and the grease ridges are perfect for it...I was concerned it would be too high for the heat without raising it all the way, but it worked great on a lower flame. The burners are much larger in diameter than a jet stove or other tiny camping stove, so the pan heats up fairly evenly without creating two tiny hot spots in the center and chills around the edges. This setup was much smaller, more portable, and more economical

Pros
  • 5 Excellent Flame Adjustment - Control valve knob makes it easy to adjust the flame as low or high as you like. It has a decent flame picture, generates plenty of heat for cooking large or small dishes, and for boiling water. Stable, efficient, powerful, infinitely adjustable flame, easy to use.
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Must buy, rated A+ good for outdoor activities

I've done a night hike in the mountains, a 4 day hike in Maine, and a 4 day hike on the Appalachian Trail with this stove. Perfectly executed! I've used it to boil water a lot, and time aside, I estimate it takes about 3 minutes to boil 2 cups of water, maybe less. The used little pot stayed in place with no problem. I've also cooked bacon in a pan and made eggs. Even the rather large frying pan stayed in place with no problem. It's so light it adds almost no weight to my backpack, about 3โ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1 Portable Camping Stove. The simple, controversial design makes our backpack stove compact when folded and fits in a zip pocket. So it's very portable and easy to carry, it doesn't take up much space. Easy to set up, screw on the canister in a minute or less. Ideal for your backpack and bug bag.
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
