That was a really good price for the scales. I mix small batches of ceramic glazes and needed an accurate scale that reads less than 1 gram. This works great for the frosting sizes I make. My other gram scale only measures in 2 gram increments.

I bought it for my son who is a professional chef. He uses it in the kitchen to get the exact amount of certain spices and thickeners into some of the dishes he's working on. This allows to have consistency in the presented dish.

Really very good, except the case and battery cover are poorly shaped at the back bottom and I had to file some to get a flat and stable fit. Update April 2011: After a few months the battery started draining when the phone was turned off. This takes about a day.
