Everything was fine when I put it on the ironing board but I broke 3 nails in the process. It wasn't easy to install. The thickness of the cap made maneuvering around the larger end difficult. Also, the clips that came with it didn't fit my deluxe ironing board. I used a few of these and then went back to the old ones.

Recently bought a very wide ironing board from The Salvation Army ($5). I brought it home and painted over some of the rust spots. Where should I find a suitable suitcase? Difficult to find a cover that fits a very wide ironing board. At first I didn't think it would fit - because of the elastic and I left the old cover down - but this is by far the BEST cover I have ever had. I put on a rubber band, but it wasn't necessary. And the mesh sleeve is a great bonus too. I've had one of these before and I know they can't handle extreme heat, but it's rarely needed. I also liked the color, so ironing is also a pleasure.

I should have bought it 3 years ago. I use my ironing board every day for sewing and ironing with the whole family. So very nice to have one that fits perfectly and I'm sure it will last a very long time meaning I won't wait that long to be sure to replace it next time. The padding is great and the finish is even better, there are no strings to pull and tie and I don't need the included straps as they are snug and snap securely. This is a soft cover for my old Rowenta ironing board. I like the pale greenish/sea color. He is very fat. I can't feel the metal mesh of the ironing board at all through the padding. It installed very quickly. The elastic is quite tight, I don't think I need straps but I added them anyway. I really like the light green color, it's difficult to get it right in the photos, but it's very beautiful. It's a bit difficult to glue to the board, but this keeps it in place. I thought the straps would be a hassle and wouldn't like them, but they were easy to install, they seem solid and I think I like them.
