It took about 2 seconds in which we almost had to destroy the box it came in to get it out only to see the top completely removed. We were looking for a small table that would fit between our chairs. These little tables fit the bill. It's a nice little cup holder that slides out nicely. This prevents us from marking the countertop and is very convenient. On the back of the top is a small door with multiple ports and a longer cord to connect to a wall outlet. Very durable table made of natural wood! Great feature with a loading area on the back top that can be opened or hidden with a wooden compartment that can close it. The retractable cup and remote control holder are cool. Magazine tray at the back to hide unsightly reading from the coffee table. We ordered this table and the first one arrived damaged. The box was not damaged in any way, but when I opened the box there was a piece of table top lying directly on top of the styrofoam and upon closer inspection the entire table top was separating from the base. So we stopped there and came back, which was very easy via Revain. The worst thing was that the door was broken in half lengthwise - looks like someone tried to put it back together but it caused some small cracks in the frame and the door was broken in half when I put it unpacked. Well built, fully assembled (except shelf). Looks more expensive than it actually is. I'll list a few things that I wish were different, but for the price, this one really can't be beat. Problems: 1 - The box is pretty much useless. how it is. If you have a hand, you can turn it upside down and make a reading box out of it. It would be better sold as a box rather than a cup holder. I intend to do this. 2 - I would like to see access to a power strip in the closet to charge devices out of sight.

We ordered two of these cabinets with an extension built in. They arrived quickly. One was great - just what we wanted. USB ports and sockets work perfectly. Please note that the cord is short and has a grounding plug. We didn't have grounded internal extension cords, so this was an additional small purchase that we had to make before we could use the outlets.
