Not so easy: Camping

I don't know who these socks are for. I bought these thinking they would be as light as some of the other pairs of Ballston socks I already own. I wanted to use them as running/hiking socks. It is not easy. These are very thick and heavy. Not sure when I will wear them, they are too short for cold weather and too heavy for warm weather. Should have probably come back :(

Much better than expected

These are some of the cheapest merino wool socks with decent reviews. I thought they were thin and not very soft and not very warm. It's way better than I expected. They feel comfortable, they're a really cushioning and absorbent fabric, decently warm but not at all hot or uncomfortable. Of the socks under $13 a pair, they have the highest percentage of wool. Very impressed and highly recommend.

  • Dope 🔥

Worst Socks: Activewear

I tried the new socks and these socks really suck. The main problem is that they are shrinking like crazy. They fit well at first and after 1 or 2 washes I can barely get them on my feet. Another problem is that they are very slippery. In fact, I fell down the stairs because of these socks, but luckily I wasn't hurt. These are now my most uncomfortable socks I own and I'm pretty sure they'll end up in the trash soon.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Great hiking socks. Exactly what you want!

I am diabetic with peripheral foot neuropathy. It is extremely difficult to wear anything on your feet. I usually only wear these lightweight liners with hiking boots. I needed something that could withstand heavy walking, so I tried these. I heard that merino wool is great for hiking etc. Well, that's great! They kept my feet feeling comfortable and a lot less painful in the long run. Thank you for the great all-weather low hiking socks.

Pros
  • Good product for the price

  • Bad experience

Excellent Summertime Wool Socks

Trying to switch from cotton socks in summer was harder than I thought. I have found other low cut wool socks that are perfect for spring/fall but too thick for summer. These socks are just what I needed to fill that summer void. They're thin enough to keep my feet from getting burned and they protect my foot from the swamp when I'm working outside and sweating. I'm more of a men's shoe size 9-9.5 and have tried both medium and large sizes. Both fit well, but the large one is definitely better…

Pros
  • Still Satisfied
Cons
  • Easy Reparability

Я заказал их из-за тепла, но в основном из-за влагоотводящих свойств, так как я каждый день на ногах иду по бетону Work. In terms of thickness, they really need to be very dense to stay in place without wrinkling or binding (calling them lightweight since they're 81% wool is a misnomer). Ordered medium according to the sizing chart and found they were too big/loose; Then I washed them warm and dried them hot ---> they didn't shrink at all or too much to wear in work boots. I have a long…

Great product!: Socks

I ride my bike in lower New York during the winter months and my feet are always cold so I have to go inside every few miles to warm up. I wore a pair of these wool socks along with a pair of thin 95% polyester Reebok socks over wool and my feet stayed warm in 32 degrees Fahrenheit for an hour. I didn't have to go inside to warm up. The wool material is amazing, superior to cotton and polyester. I would wear two pairs of wool socks but I couldn't because they would be too tight in my shoes. I…

light 80+% wool socks that can be dried low

I wear US size 7 women's shoes when it comes to tennis, hiking and closed shoes, but my actual size is 6.5 W. These fit me. My husband wears men's shoes in sizes 9-9.5 and they fit him too. If you look at the pictures there is a size chart that shows they will fit me and him. I bought them hoping to give half to my husband but ended up keeping it all for myself. I wanted lightweight, high percentage wool socks that didn't feel like my average ankle socks. I wanted to be able to wear these socks
