They will have a maximum of 3-4 books in boxes, but they will move them around the room. I bought two boxes (24 file boxes total) and got two different looks. The folders in the first box I opened had a single cardboard "latch" on the front (on the short side). I taped the whole thing shut as other reviewers suggested. The folders in the second box were connected at the back (high side) and closed with two box fasteners. I have ordered 4 boxes totaling 12 in 3 separate orders. I received 2 boxes that fold on the short side and 2 boxes that fold on the high side. The ones that close on the short side are made of thicker cardboard, fold well, are easy to assemble, and last much longer. The ones that close on the high side are thinner cardboard, are more difficult to assemble, and will likely need to be taped in place to hold my books and magazines.
