The top fabric/vinyl? on our old chrome legged, circular padded barstools had become cracked with age and use. They are still puffy so I wasnt sure these would work but they stretched to fit and we have had no problems with the covers slipping at all. The barstools look new again and you can't tell there is a cover on them. Fabric seems very hearty although time will tell, we've only been using them a month.

I have a stainless steel prep table with a matching stool in my kitchen. I spend hours at a time on that stool prepping meals and various hobby projects. As the other reviews mention, the foam used in this isn't all that supportive, but it still adds a moderate amount of comfort to existing stools.On an existing shop stool with a thin (1") foam cushion, this let me sit on a stool for 2-3 hours instead of 1 hour before my butt hurts.I think adding to the foam cushion as other reviews say would make it a lot better, but this does of course add to the total cost.Otherwise, the cover is very well made, looks great, fits well and seems reasonably…

If sizing is critical this is not the product to buy.I'm using it for a cushion on a 5-gallon bucket. It won't get a lot of use so I have no idea if it flattens out or not. I wanted a 12-inch cushion but got one a scant 11 1/2 inches.

I wish there was thicker padding, but it helped make the metal stools in painting class a little less painful. Thanks for attention!

PRO: will fit tight on a stool. Con: It's not thick enough for prolong comfort sitting. It won't fit well if your stool has a backrest.

It's expensive and doesn't provide the best comfort, but this was the most affordable one I could find that had the measurements I was looking for and it still provides some comfort, compared to sitting on just a flat wooden stool. Washable and durable, only con I found was the mesh top allows food crumbs to get trapped inside.

I returned this product. However, I will say that if you have a bar stool and are just looking for a cover, it would probably work really well. I was looking for something squishy for my wooden desk chair, and when sitting on this I couldn't even tell I was sitting on a cushion. I just felt the hard wood of the chair. I'm also not heavy - I'm 130 lbs. If you're buying it for decor, it looks really nice and is well made. If you're buying it for squish, keep looking.

The item is not 2" thick. 1.5" might be more accurate. However, the quality exceeded my expectations for the price point and it is much much more comfortable than sitting on a wooden seat. I plan to purchase .5-inch foam and cut it to fit to add a little more cushion. The depth of the cover can probably allow up to 1" additional foam.

Perfect for what we were looking for. When we work from home, we like to use our kitchen island. These padded cushions help our comfort while sitting for extended periods of time.

Had an old wrought iron stool I used in my craft/ sewing room.All t had was a plywood vinyl covered seat that was torn. I got this cushion to recover the existing seat and it is wonderful. It is now much more comfortable to sit on as well as looking so much better.

I bought this to put on top of a metal stool I use to practice mandolin. Its a fairly dense foam that provide good support and was simple to install. Once it puffs back up from being packaged its about 3/4 inch thick.

I bought this with a Foam Rush 2" memory foam pad after reading the reviews. It looks great on my metal stool and is very comfortable - would not have been so with the included pad. A 1.5" high-density memory foam pad would have worked. The piping and stitching are top-notch and I am pleased.

After reading some reviews stating the padding was too thin, I was pleased to find them more than adequate and quite comfortable. I was prepared to add additional padding under this cover but no need. Pleasantly surprised.

The folding chair was purchased at Walmart - its pad was very thin and uncomfortable. My first impression of this cushion was that it was thinner than I expected and frankly didn't think it was going to fit my 11.5 inch seat. but it felt like a durable product While a bit of a struggle to get the cushion on it did fit perfectly and securely. Surprisingly it is comfortable and is secure. Very pleased with the product
