Reviews of this duvet have had many complaints about pilling and lint. I washed it before putting it on the bed and there was almost nothing left in the lint filter of my dryer. There were also people who complained that this blanket wasn't soft enough. This is one of the softest, most comfortable duvets I've ever had. I think some people should just complain about everything. For the price, I say risk this blanket. It's worth it!

I received a replacement because the first item was 9" too short. The replacement is also 8 inches shorter, measuring only 42 instead of 50. Does the factory use roller tails or is it intentionally undersized or just sloppy? The velvet side of the plaid looks shiny and cheap. I woke up regularly throughout the night because I was cold and the blanket I put over the blanket only covered part of my body (or it was thrown onto my side while I was sleeping ). I would use a heater to warm up the room. With this blanket you won't wake up from the cold anymore. It's thin but incredibly warm. I have two other Bare Sherpa comforters (ordered from Target) in blue and purple. Both are excellent quality, incredibly warm and soft yet lightweight. The quality stayed the same after 2 washes. I was looking for a really warm comforter for the bed as I prefer to sleep in a cool room with warm bedspreads. I certainly didn't expect this to be my only blanket, but I really thought it would be a great layer to snuggle up before bed. It was not.
