The ICS system consists of many parts that must work together to achieve the desired result. It seems this requires all parts to remain in the correct position. The removable insole has gel discs glued to the underside of the sole in the heel area. These discs on both feet fell out of position in the first week of wear. Ordered at the end of May, received on June 1st. Not satisfied with the processing. After 3 weeks of use only at work, 1 boot creaks and the other one falls apart at the front. Tried replacing with Revain. Exchange or return was not possible. June 29th is the last day anything can be done about Revine. On vacation and only contacted Revane on July 15th. They said to contact Bates directly.

The shoe itself fits very well and is comfortable. My problem is not comfort but quality. I would have expected more from Bates. I bought and received the shoes on June 5th. I work alternately for FLDOC and have worn the boots 7 times, I am sending the items on 23/06. I would have no hesitation in buying these shoes unless you are willing to keep some shoe slime handy and not walk around all day.

I work in retail and am on my feet 6-8 hours a day. These shoes have a lifespan of six months in this environment. The rubber on the front of the shoe looks very rough and has some minor scuffs. The inside of the shoe, where the heel and ankle make contact with the shoe, wears so much that the inner fabric wears down to plastic. This gives you a hard piece of plastic that will bang against your ankle with every step you take. Needless to say, the shoes are no longer comfortable to walk on.

These shoes are comfortable and fit well. An adjustable heel pad helps correct for foot supination (deflection) and the difficult search for a shoe to lock into place. There are many shoes that help with pronation (wrinkles) and this is the only pair that actively help with supination.
