Better than I thought it would be.

I paid less for this knife than a cheaper one a year ago and this one is much better. I only expect to use it for a 300 sq ft building.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • New competitors

It's a drywall cutter

It's well made and makes skimming that much quicker and easier. If you're looking for a good solid drywall knife, this knife is for you. Not heavy in hand, comfortable grip and durable blade.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • thin

Rusted after minimal use

The sticker on the blade would not peel off. I forgot it and left it in the water overnight. The edge of the blade rusted the next day. Of course I shouldn't have let it soak overnight. Still.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Size matters Good for paint supplies and tools

I purchased this knife specifically for finishing the underside of an 11-3/4 inch beam frame. You think a 12 inch knife will do the job, but you're wrong. This 12" knife is approximately 11-5/8" which totally defies the purpose I bought it for. It's a shame, otherwise it's a good tool. aggravating.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Updates

Works great!: Paint, wall care products and supplies

My wife and I just repainted our house. Such a tool is necessary for painting baseboards (especially if you have a carpet). The blade is thin enough to fit under a baseboard to fasten plastic or fabric, yet is very strong. When used as an edging tool, the paint rubs off cleanly and any dried residue is easily removed with water and gentle shaking.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

THIS THING RUSTES VERY EASILY

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I bought this knife and the small 6-8 inch knives to repair a crack in the ceiling. I have treated all knives the same way, wiping them down with a damp sponge after each use, and this is the only knife that rusts very quickly on mine. It has rust spots all over it and leaves streaks of rust spots with use. Spend a few bucks more and buy something better and more rust resistant, now I have to throw mine away after only taking 1 break, waste of money.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style
