Not working. When you try to transmit the radio (I tried two different radios) it goes off. There is not enough electricity to operate the radio. Tried on different computers, same result.

This is a great alternative to using an HT battery in your car and saves Electricity until you save electricity get out of your car.

These are definitely homemade devices. It appears to be the original battery with the innards removed and a hole drilled in the bottom for the wire to insert. Inside is a small regulator with double-sided tape. mine don't work

If your radio is set to transmit at high power (e.g. 8W), these adapters do not have enough transmit power. I've tried 4 of them and none of them work (maybe they're fake?). I'm curious how other reviewers got them to work; Maybe they just used the radio for receiving (which works) or for lower power transmitting. Note. I have the BTech version and it works great.
