Not for English cupcakes

Insufficient power to brown English muffins in Bagel mode. You should roast it once on the highest setting, #6, which will raise it before it browns, and again on #2 to finish browning.

The high-lift lever is automatically raised and released, making it easy to remove any type of bread. You can use the cancel function to stop toasting at any time. The toast bagel cuts off the sides of the bagels. The defrost function is designed to effectively defrost and toast frozen bread.

One side before frying the other. The defrost button just lets the food toast longer, which means the burning is even worse than regular toasting. Look elsewhere for even one-sided toasts. The waffle does not crunch, only one side burns, and the other is almost not fried. The same with bread.

EXTREME DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE GRADE OF THE SLICES

Looks great! Not too bad from tray to empty crumbs but there was too much difference between 4 slices. You'd think it was coming from 4 different toasters with 4 different settings. After receiving a quick refund from Revain I keep looking. As a kid we had an automatic toaster that would lower and raise the bread as needed. These are very difficult to find today.

Looks Great, Works Perfectly

This toaster looks and feels good. Roast is good too. where it's a little lacking is 1) the pressure lever is very sensitive and doesn't easily engage to hold the bread (soon not holding at all?) 2) the browning level adjustments aren't very precise. Differences of 2 vs 4 or 4 vs 6 seem somewhat arbitrary. Basically you can set "light" or "dark". Not easy to clean as crumbs get stuck in the machine. even after "shake"
