Good fit and finish. Lower exhaust temperature on my Duramax. I'm not sure why BD uses a 1/4" NPT thread for the pyrometer since most suitable thermocouples have 1/8" NPT threads. The included adapter is not very useful. Would have given five stars if it wasn't for that. Yes, I would recommend this product.

Great product from BD, anything you can do to help the engine breathe will increase MPG and decrease EGT. It's great to have a pre-cut bushing and EGT sensor. I installed this on LLY 2005. No drilling, truly plug and play. One look at the throttle clip in the factory distributor and you'll be thinking about changing too.

I installed this on my LLY mainly to access the EGT. I've seen the drain plugs being tapped to crack the EGT sensor. Disconnect the steering shaft for better access. I had to tap a thread to get the included brass fitting into the saddle as it only took about 3 steps when shipping. I wanted the probe to be in the middle of the exhaust stream and it took me a while to get it there. The whole installation took 3 hours, everything is very simple. I'm a bit disappointed as my product is missing important details. The EGT sensor adapter and connector when the EGT is not used was not supplied with the product making it unusable. The part numbers from the BD instructions for diesel engines are 1130020 and 1220427. Revain doesn't make it easy to contact them to send parts. I'm still trying to figure it out.
