Description of The Beadsmith ColorEYES Beading Needles - Size 11, 1 Pack (25 Needles) - Blue Colored Tip for Easy Size Identification - Ideal for Loom Weaving, Bead Work & Jewelry Making with Seed Beads

COLOR COORDINATED: Finding the needle you want is simple with our color-coded system. Each size has the eye ends marked with a different color. #11 is marked in blue for easy identification. QUALITY: Made of high carbon steel, this #11 needle measures 2.25 inches (57mm). This is a hanging card containing 6 needles. THREADING: The stiff needle is very fine, long and straight, with long eyes made for keeping thread in place while working. BEADING: The #11 needles are perfect for use with 8/0 and 11/0 seeds beads. They are fantastic to string beads, pearls and sequins. BEADWORK: These needles work great for loom weaving as well as off-loom stitching such as peyote, brick, herringbone and netting.

WHAT IS REAL

Needle was oversized but INCREDIBLY COTTON. They bend easily in use, but cannot be bent back to normal, rendering them useless. The keyhole is stupid small. It takes forever to stretch the thread. I don't even know which thread fits in there so easily. I had to throw it away after a few days.

Pros
  • Sewing Tools & Supplies
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other sets

My new favorite sewing needle

This is a strong yet flexible beading needle. In the photos I use it with Miyuki beads size 15⁰. This #11 beading needle is easy to thread and is now my favorite. The color wears off over time, like the gold color on the needles of a well-known brand from Japan. The seller sent quickly, the needles were well packed.

Cons
  • Available in black only

Very important. Much better than standard John James needles

I use these for peyote stitches. They're way better than John James pins (which keep breaking and leaving you with a bunch of broken $10 pins). Color Eyes needles bend under load, but are usually fully usable. They represent great value for such a strong needle. The only size available was a size 12. Sometimes I need a size 13 for very fine work. If a smaller needle comes out, that will be my mark on all needles.

Pros
  • Beadwork
Cons
  • Long Shipping
