Efficient Tool for Jewelry Makers

As someone who's into Arts and Crafts, I must say that this wire hardening and wrapping tool is a game-changer. According to my experience, it takes less time and effort to get the perfect hardness for my jewelry wires, and the results always come out great. The grip handle is comfortable, and it's easy to operate. However, the price is a bit steep compared to other wire hardening and wrapping tools in the market.

Pros
  • Effortless wire hardening and wrapping, comfortable grip handle, great results
Cons
  • A bit pricey compared to other similar products

Whack It Wire Hardener

It's a handy device but if I had seen it in person beforehand I knew I could buy a sturdy plastic cutting board, cut it in half and have the same tool.

Pros
  • Works with most wire groups
Cons
  • Very expensive

Unusable for its intended purpose but makes a great cutting board

I ordered the Wire Whacker because I am familiar with the Bead Smith brand and have used their products successfully in the past. I was delighted when it arrived earlier than expected. I put my first piece of wire between two Wire Whacker "boards" and carefully hammered it with a hammer as per the little instructions on the box (another downside, btw). The 'boards', made from the same polyethylene material as the cutting boards, were too soft to be used to 'reinforce' the wire. Unfortunately…

Pros
  • Handy, easy to use
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
