Great for hand sewing

I love this flashlight as it comes with 3 magnifying lenses. I enjoy counted cross stitch and have trouble viewing small weaves. It's great for taking the pressure off my eyes as I can use 2x, 4x or 6x magnification. It's also quite small when I travel. Good quality and design!

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good for cross stitch

I am very happy with the backlight. It really helps me see my handicrafts more clearly. I use it when all 6 LEDs are lit. Magnifying glasses are fine, but not 100% comfortable to use. It took some fiddling with the length of the neck strap and the angle of the light to get it shining onto the fabric where I had untied it. After the adjustments everything worked great.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

I see what I'm doing with my hands again!

Love Beam N Read. My friend has one and I tried it. I think this is absolutely divine light and I can't wait to start working with my hands and needles soon. What a difference it makes to my eyes and being able to use 2, 4 and 6 magnification loupe accessories is just wonderful. I will also order a plug-in to save my batteries.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Keep calm

Very Good Product in Book Lamps

If you think this product is a little expensive, just know this is a really good product. The lightweight base runs on four AA batteries (not included). The light will not come on until you adjust the light at an angle to the battery area. The switch is used to switch from 3 to 6 headlights and does not turn on the headlights. The three loupes come in beautiful vinyl boxes with the magnifying power printed on them. I think I'm going to get a lot out of my Beam and Read crafting lantern.

Pros
  • Always Liked
Cons
  • High Price

Yes but. The device works in theory, but not in practice.

This device has a 'compromise' design and is not in the position required for cross stitching as the weight of the lens will tip it 'forward' and you will end up looking at your belly button. ! Another construction for hanging by the neck, such as A rigid frame, for example, can correct the "torque" due to gravity caused by the lens and keep the viewing lens in the correct orientation with respect to the workpiece. .

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • No

Good light with one big downside for me

This light was bought to help me knit darker yarns and it has worked wonders with it. My complaint about this relates to turning off the lights. We travel a lot and I keep noticing that the light is on because of the soft bag I use for yarn. I don't see a way to prevent it from turning on unintentionally, so I've had to resort to removing the battery when I'm out and about with it. Also, this is great for crocheting on the go when the right type/amount of light isn't available.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Appearance
