Does not fit VW Rabbit 2008 with manual transmission

Although listed for VW Rabbit 2008, both here and with B/A, this trunk is too big for rabbit with manual transmission. Very disappointing.

Pros
  • Specific to this car
Cons
  • There are problems

Fits Audi A3 2009.

The CV Cases themselves fit A3 as OEM. However, the replacement C-frames included in the kit are oversized as Audi uses wire frames that barely protrude from the groove on the axle. I reused my old ones. The worst thing and the reason for deducting 2 stars is that the clamps are finicky and don't do much to help you tighten them. I used a needle vice and screwdriver to tighten as much as possible but I'm not sure they will hold. An ear clip of the kind you crimp would be much better.

Pros
  • One-Piece Neoprene Case
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Good product, wish it had a squeeze band clamp

This is a good quality product. I needed to replace the CV boot on my Audi and this kit included everything except the CV axle spacer. The shoe fit with no issues, there was more than enough lubrication and the clamps were painful but worked. I mentioned clips because they are a folded band, not a crimp. I had to buy a cheap tool to tighten and bend the band. I found myself using 4" tape which I pulled and snapped as I folded (luckily I had extra tape in my tool box).

Pros
  • Kit of case, grease and hardware for full installation
Cons
  • Other
