Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

With its pros. One of the cheapest options. Quite satisfied with both accuracy and convenience Has some cons There is no calibration file. Although here the quality is probably not something to calibrate to it

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

Many greatly exaggerate when they talk about the uneven frequency response. I measured a lot of HF heads, and everything exactly matches the passport data. If there is unevenness, then no more than 1 dB, and only in a small frequency band. At home, this unevenness cannot be seen. Personally, I could not identify such unevenness. I saw someone spreading a terrible picture with a lot of 8000 beringers, well, this is a pure lie, with such unevenness, even just in the recording it would be heard…

Pros
  • All liked it. The most popular instrument for home acoustic measurements at the moment.
Cons
  • Well, except that as a vocal is not very suitable. But he wasn't made for that.

Essential Acoustics Gear

The main difference between this and higher level condenser mics is the high frequencies. If you need to measure the bass in your room, this is perfect. I have had it for over three years now and it is essential for decorating your room.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Replacement available

Great microphone! - Condenser microphones

Exceptional performance. Why spend money on earthworks ($700, fixed frequency 9Hz-30kHz) when the ECM costs 10 times less ($60, fixed frequency 15Hz-20kHz). I've been using the Behringer ECM8000 for about 15 years and its performance is comparable to any other microphone I've used for the audible frequency range.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Update availability

Low Cost BEAST - Mics & Accessories

I travel a lot and needed a reference mic to set up external ballroom speakers and I found this mic, read the reviews and bought it. I've been touring with this villain for the past 5 months and I LOVE this mic. Not only the price but also the quality of the microphone is amazing! Add the price and its quality to this microphone and you will understand that it can't be beat! Do yourself a favor audio guys/girls, just buy this mic.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Volume

Beautiful and durable, works as expected, no unique calibration

I bought this microphone to use with my laptop, TrueRTA software and the MXL USB MicMate for frequency response measurements. I am very happy with the results. However, the microphone does not have a clear calibration curve. Instead, a generic calibration curve is listed on the panel. Currently, Parts Express is offering what appears to be a calibrated version of this mic for a few extra dollars, which may be cheaper for the DIY enthusiast.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I don't remember

Wow, this thing is insanely good

I was a bit skeptical - Behringer is one of those brands that can be very good, sometimes excellent, and sometimes fail completely. In this case, they hit a home run. I thought it would never compete with similar mics from other companies at much higher prices, but it's every bit as good as my AudioSource RTA mic and DBX calibration mic. and costs less than any sold for USED. I've used this with two RTAs and the results are the same as the much more expensive ones. So when I take my system out…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Appearance

Like most Behringer products, the ECM8000 has an unbearable noise level and requires quite a bit of amplification (more than you would expect from a small diaphragm condenser microphone), so I wouldn't recommend it. to record something or live band microphone. However, if you compare the transfer function plot to that of the Earthworks M50 microphone - yes, the $1,300 Earthworks M50 microphone - the curves are nearly identical. even at a bandwidth resolution of 1/12 octave! It's pretty…

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Legacy
