Description of πŸ” Bel Art 100mm Plastic Filter Holder F18991 0000

Safely transports, incubates and stores 100mm petri dishes and helps to streamline benchtop sample processing. Holds up to forty-two petri dishes with lids, configured in six columns of seven plates. Up to four racks can be stacked together and interlocked to prevent accidental knock over, and a small, stable base preserves bench top space. Center divider provides space for labeling and incorporates a handle that does not interfere with the samples. Made from white polypropylene and can be steam autoclaved at 121 degree C (250 degree F), racks are shipped flat and are easily assembled.

Unstable and Flimsy Lab Furniture

As my tests showed, this lab furniture is not worth the price. The plastic material is too flimsy and the legs are unstable, making it difficult to trust with delicate experiments.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Unstable and flimsy

Good product but not for 100mm

Product looks like high quality polypropylene and is very easy to assemble. However, as shown in the figure, it is not suitable for Petri dishes with a diameter of 100 mm. I assume 60mm would fit, but I don't have that size so can't confirm.

Pros
  • lab furniture
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Too small for advertised trays

Just bought and it will not fit 100mm glass trays. It doesn't even fit in the 90mm glass Petri dishes I currently use. I ordered this thinking the extra 10mm would give me plenty of room but no. The dishes don't stack evenly, and even if I push them there with all my might, I can't put 3 plates next to each other in the bottom row.

Pros
  • Microcentrifuge tube racks
Cons
  • Not as thick as other kits
