Setup is difficult for those unfamiliar with external monitors

Having just received the BenQ 3205u's display, I can say that the setup is not for the faint of heart. The included quick start guide was not sufficient to get a working display with my 14" MacBook Pro M1 with USB-C to USB-C connection. This is my first time using an external display; I'm using mostly unfamiliar with the many ports available on an external monitor. The settings were accurate on my 2019 MacBook Pro!

Almost identical to my 27" iMac 5k! Couldn't be happier! Connected and matches my 2019 MacBook Pro! Having looked at other monitors and even bought and returned a different one, I'm more than happy with my 27" BenQ satisfied. I mainly use this monitor for work and photography. It's so well designed. The screen quality and available modes are fantastic. It comes factory calibrated. Lots of ports on the back and 2 on the sides. The USB-C power is 90W. Xbox on it is not FPS but Rally and everything OK But for photo and video editing this monitor is a beast

Worth the money: my review

Before the BenQ PD3205U, dual monitors failed in my mission to set up a dual monitor design station. Samsung LS32A700NWNXZA and LG 32UP83A cost half as much as BenQ PD3205U. However, their HDMI didn't work with the new Mac Mini, the connection was unstable and the screen flickered all the time. Finally, BenQ has accomplished my mission. The HDMI connection is smooth and the color matching is perfect for my needs.

Love color accuracy, hate speakers.

Bought this BenQ display because of the color accuracy ratings for my new Apple Mac Studio. I like the size (32 inches) and the color accuracy. However, I also edit a lot of videos and it is extremely important to have good audio to avoid over-editing the audio. Unfortunately, the speakers on this "professional" display appear to belong on a laptop. The speakers are amazing so plan on buying a better sound system that will upgrade the whole system. Great monitor, not good as a USB-C Mac dock

For color calibration, features and control this is a great monitor for the price for design and photography - so I'm just as happy with this monitor as I was with my other BenQ. But I managed to work with the new Mac Mini and be a single-cable USB-C dock. Not so. The USB-C connection worked great for videos with the included cable. But a few cable swaps and BenQ-ready emails later, I've yet to get the optional USB-A and UBC-C up and running with a wired USB-C connection. Everything works fine…

Does it work with intel mac

DO NOT RECEIVE IF YOU HAVE AN INTEL MACBOOK PRO! It's a really great monitor if you have a computer that actually supports it. I've tried 2 different monitors and sent one to BEN-Q for "repair" and they never worked with Intel MacBook Pros. I was able to try 3 different Intel MacBook Pro laptops and none of them work with both monitors.
