Suitable for the average backpacker with a tent

I was expecting this product to be carried better as it is 'super heavy'. Sure I went on a gravel road (not much gravel anymore) but I never expected them to flex for the price I paid. If you expect to run into obstacles while hammering, I would just use some heavy duty angled iron stakes.

HIGH STRENGTH

These are definitely HIGH STRENGTH stakes. I have camped in an area where the ground is hard and rocky. Last time I was there I broke 6 of my trusty tent pegs so I wanted something stronger. I was camping at a car/music festival; The heavy weight was not a problem and the inserts worked admirably. Also, the bright red color helped me keep track.

Works on sandy beaches!

Just got back from the beach where we used these stakes to secure a 10' x 10' canopy over 10-12 inches of loose sand in a constant wind. The wind was constant every day at a speed of 8-11 m/s with gusts up to 20 m/s. I used my foot to push aside the loose sand deep enough to get at the hard material underneath and used a hammer to dig into each guy post. The stakes were amazing and easy enough to be taken from your seat when it came time to escape camp at the end of the day. If I remembered how
