They appear to be whole and don't fall apart but they are quite soft and don't smudge like I like for eye shadow brushes. But the rest is not bad for the price. Great set for beginners!

I don't usually write many reviews unless I like a product. After reading a lot of positive reviews about these brushes, I decided to buy them, and not to mention I have no regrets about my decision. They are so soft brushes, good quality and soft bristles, they blend my makeup very well, like these high quality brushes that will cost you an arm and a leg. At $15 I think this is the best deal. 16 brushes just covered all my brush needs.

It comes with a carrying case, which is very convenient when you need it. The bristles are super soft. I would say they are full size.
