Works well with a small candle, I use a small unwanted cinnamon candle in my home office and a fresh linen candle in my laundry room.

They last for years of everyday use and keep my morning coffee hot. Plastic breaks after a few years. So I'm deducting a star.

We use this for candles and heats up fairly quickly. Doesn't get hot even after 4 hours. We have this on a wooden surface and so far after 40 hours of use it's been great! Smaller candles that turn into liquid melt very quickly and the scent penetrates well. Would definitely buy again!

I bought this from Walmart for $5, exactly the same. Even after 8 hours it doesn't get hot enough for a big candle. It stands NOT to be used for beverages only. For candles only. I will search. I painted the living room this spring and I won't light candles and smoke on the walls again.

I have used this model before but it broke down and had to be replaced. My original was bought in new condition but unwrapped from a thrift store and I assumed it was meant to keep hot drinks warm since it's called "Cozy-Up". The new one's packaging says it should only be used for candles which I don't use but continue to use as a cup warmer and it serves that purpose well.

THIS MODEL HOLDS THE "BEST” TEMPERATURE OF HOT DRINKS. OTHERS ONLY RETAIN HEAT. I got it as a Christmas present and after ordering other band name models I returned everything and ordered THIS MODEL for both myself and my wife's office and for everyone in my house for every use including each of our bedside tables. Originally it was only one per room, but we quickly realized that "one" per room wasn't enough because whoever got in the room first needed a cup warmer, so I had to order duplicates
