I wanted a good pair of open-back headphones for mixing/mastering, A/B with closed-back headphones. They are definitely worth every penny. Just make sure you can drive them, as high impedance models require a good headphone amp.

Material stuck to my face =-) and after research decided I go for these DTs - 990. I chose 250 ohms because they will never be plugged into a small device and when I plug them directly into my keyboard they work fine but a bit boring I think using an amp will help bring them to life. One thing that let me down was that the cup body felt cheap.
