WIRELESS Headsets with Best Sound in the $500 Range

There are many great wireless headsets ("cans") out there today, and I've probably heard most of them. They all offer what others lack, be it good value for money, excellent noise cancellation or flawless Bluetooth/mic integration. This Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless Copper Set is easily the best sounding wireless in the category. Point. For the money, the Sennheiser HD 660 S definitely beats the Beyerdynamic Amiron - in terms of sound quality. And the other two devices I've turned my search to -

Pros
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Neutral

How to get the most out of Amiron Wireless Copper.

I recently bought an Amiron Wireless Copper. Before that I used Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3.0. I also have other wired headphones including the Sennheiser HD600, HD650 and Stax 007 Omega 2. I was looking for wireless headphones with a sound quality close to wired headphones. It's a tough task and the Momentum Wireless isn't exactly up to the task, sounding like very swollen bass and an overworked rendition of complex music. In comparison, the Amiron Wireless Copper sounds significantly…

Pros
  • Inspires trust

  • Not automatic

Phenomenal - Bass/Fit problem solved.

I didn't know the sound of Beyerdynamic until recently when I bought the Lagoon Premium ANC headphones and most recently the Amiron Wireless Copper. About my past - I'm a music fan aka "audiophile". I am a professional musician, concert and recording artist, and sound and music are my life. My last interest was in a really great set of wireless cans for late night listening at home when I can't use my big audio system. I've gone through the BW PX (which I have), PX7, Shure Aeonic 50, Lagoons…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Bow to the King (Amiron Copper)

The Revain should have at least separated the Amiron Home and Wireless tests. We're talking about the latest (late 2019) Amiron model - that's the top-of-the-line version from Copper that's surprisingly $75 cheaper than the regular (old) Amiron Wireless. The important things first. Read the reviews, especially the "bass problem" part. The Amiron Copper's bass was initially good - even with suede ear pads. The company has probably made the necessary adjustments. I did however order secondary…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
