it covers a full plate.

Works better than paper plates as it allows for spills on the sides. It covers a large soup pot, it seems to splatter less with this cover. it is definitely worth the money! . It appears that heat (not much) is radiated from the heated food.

Silicone and glass make it a safe and healthy choice over plastic lids

Silicone and glass are inert at microwave oven temperatures, unlike all plastic lids and trays designed for microwave use.
