Just received this today and have only shaved once with it. That being said, I like the bowl at the moment and I really wasn't sure I would. But to my surprise, it feels great in the hand and the thumb space on the side is just awesome. The brush is a little heavy, feels great in the hand and looks good. Really good as far as I can tell so far. I would definitely buy it again, great price

I was trying to find the bowl and brush separately but couldn't decide which to get. This then stumbled across my screen and I thought it was worth a try as it has a badger brush and bowl together. I really like the blue theme. The bowl is nice and sturdy and the ribs inside foam and lather really well. For testing, I used Proraso Green and Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood. Just received the bowl and brush set. A little at first, but overall a good set. The only issue I had was that the handle of the brush was not secured, both ends were tight but the ball in the middle spun like a top making it difficult to use. Otherwise I would have easily given 5 stars.

this was my first bowl and brush set. Just wanted to try it out without spending a lot of money. Both are well made and work as they should. I didn't like it though, it's not the product's fault, I get the best lather from my hand application in my opinion, hope this helps.

The brush's weight gives it the quality it deserves. The bristles are thick and dense, forming a neatly rounded crown. The mug is attractive and feels good in the hand. The unglazed patch on the outside provides a secure grip when placed on the heel of your big toe. By lathering the brush and then working the grooves on the bottom of the cup with a little water, you get a luxurious lather. Please note this is a foam cup, not a soap cup.

I bought this set to replace my grandfather's old boar comb and mug. I am 53 years old and have been using this brush for almost 30 years. I have to say that the old boar brush is much softer than this brush and this brush felt clunky. I liked that the shell foamed very quickly. I hope that the brush will soften over time.
