I was trying to find the bowl and brush separately but couldn't decide which to get. This then stumbled across my screen and I thought it was worth a try as it has a badger brush and bowl together. I really like the blue theme. The bowl is nice and sturdy and the ribs inside foam and lather really well. For testing, I used Proraso Green and Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood. The brush is pretty good too and I like its hardness. I'm so used to wooden handles and brushes that float in water. This falls faster than the anchor. I thought I would break the tub when I knocked over the cup. Since my house is cold most of the time, I just fill the sink with hot water and submerge the bowl and brush at the same time. Two birds with one stone, one shot and you don't have to worry about the bowl chilling the shaving cream quickly. The "grip" is basically the placement of the thumb or thumb. Enough bare ceramic to keep even wet. I'm not a serious DE safety razor expert, but I think the bowl and brush combo is good for beginners, not extreme DE razors. Best bag for the dollar for me.
