Replace the screw and bolt with a safety bolt to prevent it from loosening and falling. After that, it was the best toy I've ever bought! We pack it into our van and take it to a nearby park to rummage through the wood chips. Then we bring it home and dig in the sandbox! We've had it for 3 months now and my son plays with it every day.

Buy this item before others! METAL! CONSISTENT! The seat (just the plastic part) is really ridiculously thick plastic that playgrounds are made of. We're all sitting on this excavator. My kids wear it all over the yard. He is treated extremely roughly and endures everything. I was planning on buying other brands that I saw here but THANK YOU I decided on this one. I don't write reviews often but we had it for 2 days and my boys (3 and 5) woke up at 6:30am, had breakfast, got dressed and ran outside on a gloomy, rainy mid-February morning in Seattle, to play with. They usually fight over whose turn it is, but instead they've been taking turns playing like civilians for the past hour. Best toy ever, already bought a second one so they don't have to share because siblings can take so long for someone to stop.

One of these was purchased from Revain last June and put away as a Christmas present. When open it had no seat or bar to which a claw/saddle could be attached. It consisted of only two parts: the bucket mechanism and the base. So totally useless! It's too late to return it, so when you order it, please make sure you open the box and check that all the pieces arrived with your order!
