I bought these on a bit of a whim and honestly expected to pat myself on the back of my hand upon delivery - I didn't need them to buy the scissors but wanted them as a treat. I expected them to be cheap and not as good as I had hoped. I couldn't be more wrong - they are both beautiful and very sharp and very comfortable to use. Unfortunately I now feel able to purchase a few more pairs that I've been looking at. An embroiderer can NEVER have enough beautiful scissors.

I was skeptical based on some of the negative reviews but I was glad the scissors were sharp across the entire edge. The scissors open and close easily and smoothly, but not too quickly if that makes sense. There is the slightest trace of friction. The scissors are a good weight so you feel like you're holding something but not too heavy or too long. I gave them 4 stars to see if the brass finish would wear off with use. I will update this in a year.
