Bought these on a whim and honestly expected to smack my back of the hand upon delivery - don't really need to buy scissors but wanted to have them as a treat. I expected them to be cheap and not as good as I had hoped. I couldn't be more wrong - they are both beautiful and very sharp and very comfortable to use. Unfortunately I now feel able to purchase a few more pairs that I've been looking at. An embroiderer can NEVER have enough beautiful scissors.

I was skeptical based on some negative reviews but was glad the scissors are sharp all around the blade. The scissors open and close easily and smoothly, but not too quickly if that makes sense. There is the slightest trace of friction. The scissors are a good weight so you feel like you're holding something but not too heavy or too long. I gave them 4 stars to see if the brass finish would wear off with use. I will update this in a year.
