Well designed and easy to install

Well designed and easy to install. The problem I have is that for some reason they felt it was necessary to have an LED in the USB socket. So if you don't cycle often, your battery will be drained. So you either have to turn it off after every ride or hack the switch. Not well thought out, I would look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Trial version for one year
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine

Works well - not for long.

Be sure to connect the cable to a 12V source with variable ignition to avoid the LED staying on and draining the battery. Plus it works great! This is a follow-up to my original review, it worked great for about 4 months and then stopped working. The fuse was fine but none of the USB ports worked so I replaced it with a 12V outlet and used a USB adapter if necessary.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Some cons

Dual USB accessory port

This thing sits nicely on the handlebars and has enough cords to make it battery powered. What I really don't like about it is that it connects directly to the battery, but it has two blue LEDs that are on all the time. Poor technique I would say. If you connect it directly to the battery, you need to add a built-in switch so that the battery is not destroyed after 5-7 days of inactivity. Or you can connect it to the ignition system, but it's better not to touch the wiring harness. :/

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Recommended: Chargers

I've tried probably a dozen different USB chargers on my 15 Series Heritage. This is the first to last more than one trip for various reasons. I have a whole box of marriages. We've been using it for a few months now. Was in the rain and 105+ heat, no problem. Attaches easily and fairly securely to my bars. Luckily, it charges everything I plug in, from USB headphones to full-size iPhones and iPads. Came with a cord long enough to plug into my existing delicate battery connector.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Useless features

Works well BUT good for motorcycles and weight sports

Love the look and the ability to charge two different items. A few small questions. 1 - The bar mount needs to be slightly thinner. (There is just enough room on the plate to fit it) 2 - The cable from the charger to the battery should be about 6 inches longer. So there is plenty of room for the bar to rotate all the way left and right. 3 - The cable that connects to the battery should be about 3 inches longer to allow enough room to connect the cable from the charger. 4 - It should be possible

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

great idea and structure, but questionable design.

appears to be very well built, but the design inexplicably includes a blue LED that's always lit under the rubber cover, consuming power. A feature intended for people who don't seem to do pre/post-ride checks, but affects anyone who doesn't want the bike to be on battery all the time. Update: Well it happened. The contractors did some work in the garage and in order to move the bike they disconnected it from the tender. The weekend is coming and the battery is too weak to start. I still don't…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Reliability
