AFO children's shoes ♥️ BILLY

My 9.5 year old daughter wears AFO. She wants to get dressed and put her shoes on. You give her that freedom. This is our 5th pair of BILLY's and we love them all. She wears them with braces all day. i buy a pair It's demanding for shoes, but with daily wear, they can last about 3.5-4 months. This is an incredible product that we proudly support. Hold amazing prints!

Pros
  • Ideal
Cons
  • Not wide enough in the fingers. The zipper broke after a few uses. I will not buy again. Not suitable for orthopedics.

Other size: my rating

I ordered a size 6M in gray and they fit true to size so I ordered a black pair. The same brand is said to come in the same size, but the black size 6M is at least a size and a half larger. The label says 6M but either that's wrong or they were made too big. Very disappointed. They look like clown shoes to me and there is no way to return them.

Pros
  • For a child wearing AFO this product is just fantastic. She was so excited to get her first pair of shoes that she was able to learn how to tie her shoelaces.
Cons
  • The outsole tread is non-slip, making it unsafe for children to wear on slippery surfaces or when wet.

Ideal for children who wear orthotics!

I bought these after my 5 year old son was prescribed CMO by an orthopedist. They are much easier to put on over the CMO than regular shoes! The only thing that bothered me was that one of the shoes didn't have a fabric zipper on the zipper ring. For this reason, the shoes at SMO are a bit more difficult to put on.

Pros
  • I have to mention when you place an order please check the width. This is my mistake 3 times. Mmm!
Cons
  • Uncomfortable and hard material that makes it difficult for children to wear for a long time.

We LOVE Billy's shoes

We LOVE Billy's shoes! My son has a motor disorder. Billy's shoes allow him to put on his shoes independently, and the shoes look like they're flying!

Pros
  • Fits well and comfortably on my son's AFO
Cons
  • ...it was too small for my daughter's orthotics. She has wide feet and we couldn't pull her up a bit.

Poor quality: my rating

My 4 year old son who weighs 36 pounds wears AFO. We wanted to try this shoe for easy on and off. This state after 1.5 months. They quickly broke down. (Note: One shoe has the tip completely cut off.)

Pros
  • Stylish and fashionable design
Cons
  • Not suitable for children with wider feet or foot conditions such as flat feet.

The best shoes for braces

The best shoe for our granddaughter who wears braces. They are cute and walk so beautifully. We have two pairs and will buy them again

Pros
  • Can be worn with different outfits
Cons
  • Thin and thin construction, which makes the shoe easily warped or deformed.

Size may be wrong.

Bought these as a Christmas present in September and wrapped them up not knowing the shoes were 2 sizes smaller than stated on the box. Now I have an extra pair of shoes that my son can't wear.

Pros
  • Provides a sense of normality for children with physical disabilities
Cons
  • Not available in half sizes, making shoes unsuitable for some children.

Love it! - my new rating

I love how easy it is to use! My son is 6 years old (special needs) and he still wears diapers. So when we are in public I have to change him standing up and I had trouble getting his shoes on and off but not now! So thankful for that!

Pros
  • Breathable mesh upper for added comfort
Cons
  • Not suitable for colder temperatures as feet will remain cold and uncomfortable.

Great shoe for hard braces. Easy to turn on and off.

My granddaughter wears these shoes and loves them. She has cerebral palsy and needs a right leg brace. They are very easy to put on and take off. If necessary, you can remove the insole for more depth. But she can wear them with the insoles. It's just a pity that there are no summer sandals for girls.

Pros
  • Suitable for toddlers, toddlers and big kids
Cons
  • The laces are difficult to fasten, which makes it difficult for children to put their shoes on and take them off on their own.

Ideal for children with orthopedic insoles.

This shoe is great for my child who wears orthotics on their feet and ankles. They detach easily so his legs/aphos fit in perfectly. Fast shipping and great price.

Pros
  • Can be worn with or without socks
Cons
  • Poor breathability, causing legs to overheat and feel uncomfortable.

Smo (lifter) friendly!

I bought for my son with his smo suspenders. It's the only shoe that goes over his suspenders. Due to a broken zipper we had to make some adjustments. With all the great children's shoes with suspenders, we've added some felt on the inside.

Pros
  • Offers superior comfort even with prolonged wear
Cons
  • The toe box is too narrow and narrow, which leads to foot discomfort and problems over time.

Not well done in my rating.

This concept is great, but these shoes started tearing holes in the fabric after a week of wearing. My kid wears an afro and wears next to nothing. Unfortunately, the shoes are poorly made and not worth €50.

Pros
  • Made from high quality materials for durability
Cons
  • The laces are easy to untie, so children can trip.

Billy's shoes are very easy to put on.

I ordered two pairs for my grandson and my daughter gave him boots as a present. It was such a struggle to wear his AFO shoes with every shoe until we ordered Billy's shoes. Even less could he wear boots. Now it's so easy for us to put his shoes on and he can even take them off which he never could. Thank you for these shoes.

Pros
  • A reliable and lasting investment for parents and guardians
Cons
  • No warranties or guarantees, whereby the customer must bear the cost of replacing any defect or damage.

Flash doesn't work.

So we bought two pairs of sneakers. The first pair was all black and suited us perfectly. With my son's corset. We can't close this pair to the end because the zipper comes untied. The picture shows what happens.

Pros
  • Makes dressing easier for parents and caregivers
Cons
  • Not suitable for high impact activities, causes discomfort and pain when moving

Perfect for our needs

My daughter has multiple physical disabilities, has never been able to wear structured shoes, so "cute shoes" are very important to her. We have bought many pairs and they will last a long time as it will not run and wear out! Thank you for giving her this option. We love her!

Pros
  • Available in universal dark grey.
Cons
  • Poor ventilation leading to sweaty feet and an unpleasant smell.

Saved the day! to my rating.

I had so much trouble finding shoes that fit my son's AFO. They fit well and are easy to put on. They are of good quality too. I will buy again.

Pros
  • A popular choice among parents and carers of children with special needs
Cons
  • Non-environmentally friendly, non-recyclable materials are used in production.

Ideal for children who wear ankle/leg braces.

I bought these shoes for my 9 year old cerebral palsy shoes. He wears dofo braces on his legs/ankles. Finding the right sneakers/shoes has always been a challenge! They fit really well, I ordered a size up to give us some space and it worked out great! My son can even take his shoes off himself which gives him a great sense of accomplishment when he can do it himself! Thank you for the wonderful challenge of helping a child with special needs and a parent who struggles with shoes every day…

Pros
  • Suitable for various occasions, such as school, games or leisure trips
Cons
  • Lack of padding that leads to leg discomfort and pain over time

Great for AFO in my review

This is our third pair of Billy shoes. My son wears braces for cerebral palsy and they are easy to put on. He can't walk so I can't say how they will hold up with a walker. Also, we have to increase his shoes by three sizes, although this is usual with every shoe we buy.

Pros
  • Machine washable for easy cleaning
Cons
  • Cannot be machine washed, making it difficult to keep shoes clean and hygienic.

Tied up in a big hole indoors for a week

These are very cute and cool shoes but my son wears AFO and they were completely torn inside and now there was a big hole. It only lasted a week and a half. Very disappointed as they were expensive shoes. Otherwise they are good.

Pros
  • Love the design, my son wears AFO and these shoes are easy to put on and take off.
Cons
  • Durability issues that cause shoes to wear out quickly.

I really like the idea of children's shoes with braces, but this is what the shoes look like after 12 days of wear. I think they would have been made to provide better support for braces. Too much money if they don't last two weeks without looking like it.

Pros
  • Easy to put on and take off
Cons
  • Can be easily soiled or marked with dirt, making it difficult to maintain a clean appearance.
