Ideal for children with sensory sock needs

Our daughter is very sensitive to how her socks fit and how they feel on her feet. Traditional shoes made it difficult for her to adjust her socks to meet her comfort needs. With Billy shoes she can make everything perfect and then close them up and not have to worry about her socks slipping while she puts on her shoes. The only downside is that the shoes seem a little big and wide, but I think the purpose of this is that they cater to different adaptable needs. Overall my daughter loves these…

Pros
  • According to customer reviews, comfort and convenience
Cons
  • Limited flexibility causing discomfort and pain with movement

support is gone!

We bought several pairs of Billy shoes for our daughter to wear with AFO, the wide shoe fits great. Unfortunately we had terrible bad luck with the new low models. The first pair arrived and the insoles were simply stuffed into the boot and dented. Billy replaced them but it took a month due to a 3 week order. The replacement set showed up with a dirty stain on the toe. Billy never replied to any of our letters asking for help. We only wish our little girl had nice shoes with braces, it's a…

Pros
  • The non-slip sole reduces the risk of falling and slipping.
Cons
  • Inconsistent lacing system resulting in uneven fit and discomfort for children.

good solution for some

I have them in boys as I have 5-5.5 in females. After the surgery I can't bend my toes on one leg. I can put my foot in without pain and my orthopedic insoles fit perfectly. I like that the laces allow for a small width adjustment. Seems well done. For the price and value, they're hard to beat.

Pros
  • This shoe is perfect for children with special needs, but what about adult sizes?
Cons
  • Bad building material

Only buy high top

I have bought many pairs of BILLY shoes either from Revain or directly from their website. All previous purchases have been overpriced and I have had no issues and loved every pair. This low top pair didn't last at all. One shoe is torn, the thread on the other is loose. Should be of a different quality than the tall BILLY boots.

Pros
  • Lightweight design for ease of use
Cons
  • Poor support that causes pain and discomfort during activities such as running or sports.

Perfect for AFO in my review.

I have been looking for shoes for my daughter for many years. She wears AFO and wants stylish shoes from the age of 4. These shoes met all of our expectations.

Pros
  • Promotes independence in children
Cons
  • Poor quality outsole that peels off or wears off easily

Ideal for children with AFO or calf supports.

I'm an orthotist and got these for a patient with AFO leg braces. These are great shoes for children and ideal for people with special needs.

Pros
  • Affordable price
Cons
  • Unattractive design that discourages children from wearing them

The best pair of shoes

These shoes are a great product. My daughter has a disability and it's not easy to get shoes that she approves of. But as soon as I gave her these shoes, she automatically put them on and was ready for a new day. I like that. I definitely recommend Billy's shoes

Pros
  • My little girl has no complaints about this tennis shoe, I am considering buying another pair of shoes!!!!
Cons
  • Dimensional deviations will cause inconvenience to customers

Ideal for orthopedics

Bought these to use with my daughter's orthotics. They fit as expected but give a little less than I expected. They have a decent price which I appreciate. My daughter wears longer, wider orthotics. I wish this shoe was a bit wider to fit it.

Pros
  • Loved her for Afo
Cons
  • No children's colors or design options to choose from

Billy shoes on my mind

I love these shoes, easy to put on with my son's suspenders and fit great, don't stretch and hold the shape of the shoe! I will keep buying

Pros
  • Perfect for kids with braces! My son loves her.
Cons
  • Not waterproof or waterproof, so unsuitable for rainy days or humid environments.

My granddaughter has leg braces and these shoes are amazing. No more tedious putting on and taking off your shoes. Just go up and close the top. The zipper works great and the shoes are very sturdy. She loves them and the price is really not bad considering the shoes last longer because you don't rip the shoes trying to put them on and take them off.

Pros
  • Ideal for children with mobility problems or disabilities
Cons
  • Not suitable for children with orthotics or custom made insoles.

Not for AFO. to my rating.

These shoes are so gorgeous and well put together. We ordered these hoping they would work with my son's corset. Unfortunately they don't attach all the way along with the spacer. We returned them. But other than that, they seem like great shoes! Too bad we couldn't get her to work for my son. Great concept.

Pros
  • Provides excellent foot and ankle support.
Cons
  • Limited flexibility causing discomfort and pain with movement

Great shoes. BUT. to my rating.

The shoes are good but I can't put my daughter's AFO in them. even if I chose a size larger. When the zipper is unzipped I can't put my foot in and zip it up again. I can put her foot in and it fits great.

Pros
  • These shoes are perfect for my son who wears AFO braces.
Cons
  • I got them for my special needs child and the zipper broke when he put them on the second time.

Fantastic shoes!: my review

We LOVE these shoes! They make putting on shoes with suspenders so easy. We have ordered 2 pairs and will be receiving more in the future. Thank you very much!

Pros
  • No-tie lacing for more comfort
Cons
  • Lack of arch support causes discomfort and potential long-term foot problems.

Necessity is the mother of ingenuity

My son wears leg braces and finding the right shoes was a nightmare. I've tried plus sizes, wide sizes, extra wide sizes, Velcro shoes, and a tie. I've tried many brands. Aside from the braces, my son's ankle and foot mobility is very limited. The daily struggle to put on suspenders and shoes was ridiculous. I had resigned myself to trying on ugly $150 shoes recommended by a braces specialist until my son's PDN nurse mentioned those shoes. They are amazing! Now I can quickly put his shoes on…

Perfect for orthotics

I love that these shoes have a zip! My son is almost 12 and has been wearing MAFO since he was four months old. I struggled with different brands, some made specifically for orthotics which were more expensive and some regular brands which I evaluated and removed the insoles. But they're more affordable than other specialty shoes and easier to put on and take off than regular brands. I took the advice of many other reviewers and got the size I wanted to buy (so I had to size up the MAFO one…
