Hardly good for reception. Useless in transmission.

The receiving power is the same as a paper clip. When sending, it behaves like a dummy load. This only works if you are very close.

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • I'm worried

Don't waste your time.

are so far from what they claim as you can see in the pictures I've attached. I know the analyzer is correct because it is calibrated and I have used it many times. None of what was advertised. Buyer Warning.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Many things

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wasn't expecting much but was surprised.

With all of these variations, I always test them on the meter first. Both were terrible on every frequency except the amateur UHF/VHF bands. On mine I have an SWR of around 1.5-2, where that counts, the SWR is off the charts all over the place.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Can't remember

useless dual band antennas

best antenna i ever bought destroying my radios. I checked it on an antenna analyzer and on UHF 440 t0 460MHz the SWR goes off scale and on YHF at 147.MHz the SWR drops to 3.0 and that is the maximum.

Pros
  • fingers crossed
Cons
  • damaged

Don't buy for MURS: Portable AV

I bought these for church security with the idea of reducing the obvious nature of the antenna as I thought even a small antenna should work for our purposes. Transmission throughout the (individual) building. That does not work. The transmissions had a lot of static and intermittent reception. I wanted to buy more after proof of concept, but no more. I definitely do not recommend them if you are using a MURS radio or attempting to use VHF. Can't talk to UHF as it's out of my scope.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Not bad

DO NOT BUY FOR MURS: Antennas

I bought these for a church security team with the idea of reducing the obvious nature of the antenna as I figured even a small antenna should work for our purposes and transmit everywhere. (single) building. That does not work. The transmissions had a lot of static and intermittent reception. I wanted to buy more after proof of concept, but no more. I definitely do not recommend them if you are using a MURS radio or attempting to use VHF. Can't talk to UHF as it's out of my scope.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Clarity
