TO UPDATE. The lamp failed 4 months after the return window closed, but the seller replaced it under warranty.

These are very nice lamps with a great color temperature for indoor use. But out of the 8 bulbs I bought, one goes out after 4 minutes of use. Cools (?) and restarts the cycle. annoys. UPDATE: Bioluz replaced the faulty bulb with a manually tested one under warranty. I am impressed. Will buy again.

Good bulb, good company

My Bioluz LED downlights (40W, 3000K) have been running for about 3 months now and I am happy with them. The build quality appears to be excellent. Although one bulb (out of 8) failed after about two months, Bioluz replaced it the same day I emailed requesting it and did not request the return of the failed bulb, only their lot number. Painless and fast. Every manufacturer fails; the key is whether they endorse the product. Bioluz does.

BR40 LED recessed bulbs in cans

I recently replaced all four Philips halogen bulbs (70w, 1320 lumens) for interior lighting with these Bioluz LEDs (14w, 1250 lumens) for my office . They run on a lot less electricity and produce a lot less heat in the summer, but that's where the benefits end. Although a little under lumens, they put out a harsh glare that I'm not used to, as opposed to the smooth, warm, bright glow of halogens. Sometimes I prefer to dim them to about 25% of maximum, but these lights flicker the more they're…
