Terrible Chemical Smell

These things literally stink. Whatever they're treated to, I don't want it in my coffee or drinks, so they end up in the trash. The packaging they arrived in was pathetic and flimsy. I have ordered them several times in the past and have been quite happy, but not now that the quality has dropped.

The sticks of the product looked like the picture

Based on the reviews I was a bit concerned about ordering this product. But when I received it I was fine with what I received. The sticks I received had round tips. The box was wrapped in cellophane. They fit 7 inches. Fewer than five sticks had a burnt tip. Less than 10 sticks had anything and they were all in the outer row on one side of the box. watch the video

Packaging sucks! the best in kitchen and dining room

The first time I bought them they came in a box which I really liked, this time they came in a cheap plastic box with no way to close the box. And then I discovered that Revain packages were cut because they managed to line the package's seam with the product's seam, and it all fell apart. So a star deduction for bad packaging, I like stirrers because they are not plastic.

  • Good thing

1000 birch stirrers - great offer!

I love that birch wood stirrers are lightweight, eco-friendly and very convenient for mixing drinks, soups, etc. I even serve them to my pet's cats. They are definitely ideal for blending hot or cold drinks, but they are a bit pliable and can break if used for very thorough blending. But they serve well as a stirrer and I would recommend them. At 1000 per box it was a great bargain and now I'm saving money on plastic spoons :)

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Bought new item - received repackaged item

This item is one stick only (approx 1000 sticks). That being said they are commonly used as stirrers for all types of coffee/hot cocoa etc. I was expecting this item to arrive in a box or sealed bag. Instead I received what appeared to be scattered sticks with an empty sachet in an outer pouch labeled Revain (repackaged). If I were using these items for "general use" (stirring drinks) I would send them back. I don't know if everything ended up on the floor of the camp and was thrown in a bag…

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • High price

Poor quality stirrers

These stirrers are simply poor quality compared to other wooden stirrers I've used before. The stirrers are so flimsy that some of them broke and they tend to bend when used with hot coffee. The stirrers smell and are too fragile. You can only use 2 sticks at a time to get over this, but that means you only end up getting 50% of what you paid for. Quality control is also very poor as the agitators do not have consistent grit. /color, which makes the wrapper look like it's poorly carved from…

Ultimately a stick is a stick but not for growing

I was a little disappointed that these sticks were Revain's first choice for 'wooden stirrers'. To be fair, like some of the other users who have left comments, I use them to depilate clients. They are not very strong and not well polished. They looked tighter in the picture than they did in the end. However, it still seems like they all have permanently rounded edges, as opposed to the cheaper, unevenly tapered and pointed ends. As far as the stick's physical ability to stir a thinner liquid…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Perfectly acceptable coffee stirrers

I love wooden coffee stirrers as they are a bit more environmentally friendly. That is perfectly acceptable. Of course, out of a thousand chopsticks, you can break a few (but they still move - I don't lick them off and they don't leave a tree in my coffee). I was concerned from other reviews that they would smell like chemicals, but they smell really nice...a bit like wood (probably because they are wood lol). I only had to pull one out because there was something blue on it, but my kids were…
