🍹 BLACK+DECKER Countertop Blender: 10-Speed 5-Cup Glass Jar Blender, Black (BL2010BG) Review

This was the weakest blender I've ever used. My last blender died after a few years of use, this one arrived looking promising but died less than 15 minutes after it was delivered out of the box. As always, Amazon does a great job with returns and the blender was sent back. B&D has some great products, but this particular blender is definitely not one of them. Disappointed is putting it mildly. My next blender will be a different brand.

These blenders are so cheap. I use it like any other blender and run one a year. If in the 1950's we could make a better blender that would last longer or even a lifetime, this company is making a product that's part of the throwaway culture. I think I should shell out $200 for a blender that actually does what a blender is supposed to do: blend under normal use without breaking for over a year.

I need a bigger blender so I tried this one. I checked out the same thing in store and it was $20 more expensive so I bought it here. Very easy installation and packaging. The glass part simply sits on the base and can be easily removed after mixing. It has 10 low and high speeds for different mixes depending on what you're working with. No, it doesn't look elegant and it sounds loud. But what do you expect? Black and Decker is known for its loud, masculine power tools, and basically you have just that - a loud, masculine kitchen power tool. I appreciate the strong glass jar and the fact that the basic construction is simple. I recommend following the instructions on the guide and hitting the pulse button a few times when mixing frozen fruit or nasty objects into your drink before setting it to full blend.
