Holds my BD contact cats so they can dry while hiking. I hang this bag on my backpack when I go hiking. Enough thought about the materials.

An essential item for keeping cats in your kit. You still have to be careful that the sharp parts don't rub against anything important. like water bubbles!

This cover is made of thin nylon on one side and mesh on the other. Cats will easily pierce and damage other things in your bag. Poor quality and overpriced.

maybe good if you have small feet. Anything larger than shoe size 8.5-9 and you will need to fold the crampons to fit in a small pocket. Doesn't sound too bad until you consider that most serious climbers have caps on crampons to keep the balls from sticking together, making folding and reinserting crampons a real pain every time you use them!

Got this Petzl Vasak cat carrier. I was very pleased with how well they fit in the bag. Fold them down and connect the spikes from heel to toe and you should have NO trouble adjusting them. The only thing I did was make some removable cardboard inserts that tucked into the top and bottom of the bag to take some pressure off the metal heel guides that rise up from the back of the heel pieces. I used to use rubber tips on the tips but it was difficult to put on 24 of them (12 per cat) every time I was done with crampons, especially with gloves on. With this I can easily connect two cats together (point to point) and put them in a bag. The fastening on the outside of the backpack allows me to quickly put on or take off crampons.
