nope burns through

I bought these gloves for their intended use: downhill. After a day of descent they were almost worn out and my hands got very hot. I had a bad fall, accidentally grabbed the rope and got a HUGE blister. They ate the gloves immediately. When gardening, I stick to cheap leather gloves. I prefer her.

Pros
  • Imported
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Ideal for cold weather climbing

Ideal for cold weather climbing. Excellent grip and dexterity. No tears by the clock on the wall. Stayed warm while climbing Fitz Roy but used gloves for ice and snow areas.

Pros
  • Velcro cuff with zip/zip loop
Cons
  • Anything I can add

They are very comfortable and have excellent grip.

We bought these gloves for my girlfriend, she loves them, she loves the comfort and grip these gloves bring to her heart.

Pros
  • CE certified to EN 420 and EN 388 (2131)
Cons
  • Appearance

Different qualities available on Outdoor Recreation website

I bought a pair of these shoes direct from Black Diamond a few years ago and absolutely love them. They fit very well. However, I recently bought a pair from Revain and found the stitching to be a lot worse. They cut off circulation in my thumbs, looked cheap, and were the wrong color.

Pros
  • Women's sizes and colors available
Cons
  • Compatibility

not very durable, suitable for outerwear

Immediately after buying it, a friend loaned it to Imlay Canyon. The rope burned through her on the first descent. It might be worth considering tougher gloves if you pull together.

Pros
  • Snap button closure
Cons
  • There are new competitors
